The Springhouse Shop and Studio is located in Mossville's historic 1840 one room schoolhouse nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania hardwoods.
Adam and Nicole met while studying at Kutztown University. They've been business partners since 2001 and were married in the former Mossville Church in 2005.
Adam Karr began his woodworking career in 1998. A former geologist, he worked alongside master craftsmen in a respected Chester County (PA) cabinet shop to learn his trade. Adam opened his own business in 2000 in an old springhouse in Malvern horse country. In 2004, the Springhouse Woodshop moved to Benton, Pennsylvania (an easy drive to metro NYC, Philadelphia, and NJ).
